August 18, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. City Moms Blog Network announces the addition of Mankato Moms Blog in Minnesota – the 73rd site to join this national network of parenting resources websites. Mankato Moms Blog goes live on August 18, 2017, under the leadership of Jessica Blais.

Mankato Moms Blog will provide valuable parenting resources and encouragement to moms in the Southern Minnesota River Valley. No matter where a mom is on her journey of motherhood, she’ll find something uniquely her on Mankato Moms Blog.

Jessica Blais

“A big goal of ours with Mankato Moms Blog is being able to invite local moms to meet each other in a fun and friendly environment,” said Jessica Blais, Mankato Moms Blog owner. “I have found that having a network of other moms that you can talk to about the triumphs and struggles of modern day parenting is a must for me, I hope to be able to give area moms an outlet to foster those kinds of relationships.”

Blais is the most recent in a quickly-increasing list of moms signing on as site owners within the City Moms Blog Network, which now boasts 73 sites nationwide and millions of readers each month. At each site, a local mom, like Blais, sits at the helm and recruits more local moms to contribute content and offer expertise in all topics associated with motherhood. All City Moms Blog Network site owners are connected to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs running sites across the country. This community of moms, all dedicated to connecting moms in their own cities, work together to make sure each site is successful.

Stephanie Flies

“We are thrilled to welcome Mankato Moms Blog to our sisterhood of city mom blogs,” said Stephanie Flies, City Moms Blog Network founder and director. “Moms in the Southern Minnesota River Valley now have an excellent resource for events, advice and connection with nearby moms traveling through this motherhood journey together.”

“I have been following several City Moms Blog sites on social media for a couple of years,” said Blais. “Seeing how they bring moms together and give local moms a voice felt really powerful to me.”

City Moms Blog Network began with Scottsdale Moms Blog in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010, where the unique community blogging approach caught on quickly and moms across the country asked to replicate the model in their communities. The 67 sites in the City Moms Blog Network sisterhood represent hundreds of moms as owners, thousands as contributors and millions as readers.
