Do you have another job besides your Sister Site? If so, is it outside the home? Is it full-time or part-time?
Yes, I work at LexisNexis as a Sales Manager Full Time
Are you an early bird or a night owl? (A.K.A. When do you get most of your work done?)
Both. Pending the day, schedules, and the amount of work & amount of caffeine. DMB work is mostly done late evening after everyone is in bed.
In 5 words, what does a typical day in your life as a Site Owner AND a mommy look like?
Organized chaos that never ends.

What made you decide to join City Moms Blog Network as a Sister Site Owner?
I wanted to have an outlet for being more involved within the community and making a greater impact with moms – I saw what other cities were doing and knew that I had to be a part of it. Both the potential of making a positive difference in the lives of Dayton families, as well as, the ability to work along side like-minded mothers who are building incredible businesses.
In your opinion what is the biggest benefit to being part of City Moms Blog Network?
The Support. This network offers support in ways I couldn’t imagine. So, as a mom who wants to continue building my career, I knew it was important to have this level of support in order to have the greatest impact in my city.
How do you maintain or try to maintain a work-life balance?
Prioritize & Plan. My husband and I both work full time, as well as, run a business. We also have a blended family with a ttl of 5 kids. So life can take over if we don’t take the time to prioritize what is important and plan time for just the two of us, as a family, or for our businesses.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned as a Sister Site Owner?
You have to focus on your own growth goals and what is right for you. It is easy to get excited and do ALL the things that your sister-sites are doing. We collaborate a lot and share so many great ideas, but it is important to do what is realistic and do it well. You may grow at a different rate, but we are all having success in different ways.
What is the most rewarding thing about being a Sister Site Owner?
The friendships. You are who you hang around and I am proud to say that me and my business are positively influenced by dozens of successful mothers, wives, and business women on the daily.
What piece of advice would you give someone thinking about becoming a Sister Site Owner with CMBN?
Plan. We are all busy and have priorities. To run a successful business, you have to be intentional with your time. Plan when you will dedicate time AND plan what you will do with that time. Little daily wins will all add up in time!
