2 kids – my daughter is 5 and my son is 3
Do you have another job besides your Sister Site? If so, is it outside the home? Is it full-time or part-time?
No, but I try to be involved in my church as much as possible.
Are you an early bird or a night owl? (A.K.A. When do you get most of your work done?)
Definite night owl. I prefer not to have conversations before 10am.
In 5 words, what does a typical day in your life as a Site Owner AND a mommy look like?
Kids first work second FUN.
What would your tagline be?
Connecting local moms to one another and to great resources around our city while being home with my kids!
What made you decide to join City Moms Blog Network as a Sister Site Owner?
I just fell in love with the idea of moms all across the nation connecting to one another. I wanted to make a difference in my community and with the network as my resource, that was able to become a reality.
In your opinion what is the biggest benefit to being part of City Moms Blog Network?
The NETWORK. I have learned so much from other sister site owners. I started out this journey not knowing very much when it came to running my own small business and just knowing that I have other ladies to lean on and learn from made it easier to make the jump. Even the smallest or silliest questions that I may have get answered with professionalism.
How do you maintain or try to maintain a work-life balance?
Realizing when I need help. I can’t do it all AND enjoy my home life, so I realized early on to build a team of ladies who share the same passion for this business and to get them on board to make a fabulous team! We all have our strengths and weaknesses and with each other to depend on, we all can get more sleep at night.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned as a Sister Site Owner?
To be professional in all circumstances. Yes, this is a business, not just “mommy blogging” and sometimes it isn’t received well with some other, more established businesses. However, to show off the Network that we are a part of and to prove that we are to be taken seriously is a huge benefit.
What is the most rewarding thing about being a Sister Site Owner?
I love hearing feedback from women in my community. A simple, “Oh, I LOVE that blog.” Or comments on our social media really solidifies why I do what I do every day.
What piece of advice would you give someone thinking about becoming a Sister Site Owner with CMBN?
DO IT. Seriously, it has given me a drive and a sense of accomplishment, plus it has opened doors in my community to learn about places and businesses I wouldn’t have heard of! I would suggest to pray about it – see if this is the direction you are supposed to go, but overall, if you want to be a connecting force in your community, than this is the best place to start.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Sweets at night. That 9pm craving comes crashing in and I must fulfill it.
