About Lansing Mom
Lansing Mom is a collective of women living in and around Lansing, with different backgrounds, beliefs, opinions, viewpoints and stories. We write individual blog posts with the hope of reaching and connecting with YOU! We cover everything from pregnancy, infertility + loss, and parenting wisdom, to health + wellness, marriage + relationships, mental health, community involvement, local guides and things to do around town, personal essays from local moms about their triumphs + tribulations, local business spotlights, giveaways and more.
We also strive to be the premiere Lansing resource for moms and moms-to-be, offering information and insight on local businesses and parenting needs, connecting you with those services you’ve been looking for and, most importantly, with each other! We encourage Lansing area moms to get out into the community and meet other incredible moms like themselves, and are passionate about enjoying all that Lansing has to offer!
Lansing Mom is a community built on friendship. We love the moms in our community and they trust us as we recommend our favorite resources and businesses to them. We love supporting them through motherhood with our trusted resources and the communities we have built.

- The people in Lansing are the absolute best, the heart that lives in the city is amazing.
- It has different neighborhoods that are all worth exploring like Old Town, REO Town and downtown by the capital.
- Lansing Community College has the perfect little hidden garden for down time and a picnic. The food and coffee scene is top notch.
- There’s always a locally owned option for whatever you need, whether its a garden center, a clothing store, a fitness studio, a book store, you can always find something local in Lansing.
Lansing Mom in The Community
Lansing covers three different counties and we would like to make it feel a little smaller. We’ve decided to create Community Groups that will help you all facilitate playdates, mom meet ups, learn more about your specific neighborhood or simply pose a question to a group of moms. Whether you’re a new mom, new to the city, or just want to meet new friends, these groups will be the perfect way to connect with moms in your area.
Our Community and Conversation Group is a local group that is a community of over 1600 Moms. We have several Mombassadors that run the Community and Conversation Group and offer daily posts for Moms to connect with one another. This group is so supportive and active in creating a wonderful community for local Moms. We love that they feel comfortable enough to ask for resources, share their stories, and look for friends with commonalities in the group. One of our happiest moments as owners is when someone tells us they made a friend through our community and conversation group, it’s why we’re here and we love to see it.
