Work-Life Balance Is A Joke :: Just Add Sprinkles – Episode 10

You see, motherhood has made me blind. Blind to the little things in life that just don’t matter. I don’t see the Goldfish smashed in your carpet or the fact that you’ve worn a hat for four days to hide the hair that hasn’t been washed or the text message you forgot to send me because you were just so tired you went to bed early.

Join Stephanie and Samantha Ettus, a renowned work/life balance expert, speaker and author of The Pie Life: A Guilt-Free Recipe For Success and Satisfaction, as they discuss the concept of “work/life” balance.

You’ll also hear from a mom within our Network, Meg Sacks from our Jacksonville Moms Blog sister site, author of A Little Secret For Working Moms, as she shares a poignant post on the myth that is work/life balance!

She took some time off to enjoy life as a stay at home mom after the birth of her first child in 2008. Her sweet, introverted daughter, who loves all things animal and geography related, was excited to welcome her baby brother in 2013. An energetic little boy with a love for all things truck and train, he’s been teaching Meg how to parent all over again. And then boy-girl twins made it four in 2016, adding a whole new level of chaos to her house. Meg finds being an “office mama” a constant balancing act and never-ending challenge but enjoys the opportunities it offers her for personal growth. A Virginia girl at heart, she loves Florida’s warm weather, the great quality of life Jacksonville offers her family, and the fact that she and her husband, met in Riverside not far from Biscotti’s, which is still their favorite spot for a date night – when they have time for one!
