Meet the Writers
Andrea is a mom of 2 in Fort Worth married to her college sweetheart. After 15 years traveling the world as a buyer for Pier 1 Imports she left the cooperate world to spend more time at home. She and her husband are real estate investors who live in Fort Worth. Andrea has a Fashion Merchandising degree from Pier 1, loves Jesus and coffee.
Ash is owner of Latina Mom Collective. Ash has over 10 years of marketing experience and a passion for making moms feel seen. She currently lives just outside of Atlanta with her husband and their two daughters where she spends her days writing and taking care of her plant babies with a cup of Starbucks nearby.
Ashley is from Texas, and though her family has flown the nest a few times now, they always seem to boomerang right back to their beloved Lonestar State. Their most recent stint took the family to Chicago for four years where they learned to truly embrace a Midwest winter and seek out the best Chicago dog (Portillo’s). But raising the kids among grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins is a gift that Texas offers so here she is! Ashley‘s family consists of her husband of 18 years and a son and daughter in middle school (prayers). The family wouldn’t be complete without their big-baby-of-a-Rottweiler mix, Hank, and two goofy Goldendoodle brothers, Moose and Ollie. You can find Ashley putting in miles all over town with her furry clients as a dog-walker and caregiver. (Dog therapy!) Ashley is often the loudest mom at the ball field (only the encouraging stuff) but comes in peace with the best snacks. She recharges by running with one of her dogs, researching the next book to add to her already-ridiculous bedside stack, or snagging a spot on a patio with her very funny husband and a couple of Ranch Waters. Ashley has written for local mom groups, churches, and Fort Worth Moms. She is a wildly imperfect person, clinging to a perfect Jesus. And He has taught her so much about this beautiful, messy life through the joy of writing.
Ashley Hamershock considers herself fantastically fortunate to have called writing her career for nearly three decades. Newspapers. Wire services. Magazines. Blogs. Websites. She has covered everything from presidents
and celebrities to food, travel and motherhood. In her free time, she
explores the far corners of the world and Colorado’s back roads with her husband and two adventurous sons. And she reads – it’s one of life’s great joys!
Elizabeth loves communicating and connecting to people with words, and is passionate about her role as Managing Editor of Houston Moms. She lives in Katy, Texas, just outside Houston, with her husband Ryan and three kids Grayson, Charlotte and Nolan. She is a podcast junkie, voracious reader and audiobook listener, and won’t ever turn down an invitation to dinner and long conversations with friends.
more than a decade of writing and editing experience. When she’s not working or answering to “Mommy,” you might find Emily binge watching her favorite TV shows, baking something sweet in the kitchen, going for a walk outside or using her Peloton. She lives in the suburbs of Indianapolis with her husband and three young kids.
Laura is a grateful mom to two spirited elementary-aged kiddos while also juggling a full-time job as a clinical psychologist. If you count the houseplants she mothers, she has more than 100 additional children who are just as unpredictable as her human ones. As a Rocky Mountain native and resident she has fully embraced the stereotypes and loves skiing, paddle boarding, hiking, cycling and commenting on the weather. When she’s not doing that she’s puzzling, baking, hanging with friends and watching “murder shows,” which her husband doesn’t find terrifying at all.
A transplant from New York, Lauren now lives in the Dallas suburbs with her husband and their two sons. On any given day, you will find Lauren working as a full-time mom, attending local events and activities with her kids. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys cooking on a budget, crafting with her Cricut, and practicing yoga. Lauren hopes to support, encourage, and uplift other moms, as her closest friends have done for her.
Meg is a wife, serial entrepreneur, mom to four boys, lover of long-distance running, writing, and heavy doses of sunshine. She is expecting her fifth (and final!) child this spring, a little sister to all those boys. She resides in Columbus, Ohio. She worked in non-profit development and university relations for almost a decade before founding her own consulting firm, Sexton Events & Marketing, where she focuses on event planning, brand partnerships and sponsorship development. Her most recent adventure is by joining the City Mom Collective team where she serves as a National Account Manager! Her full-time job is being a mom to her most precious gifts and she has been blessed to find clients who believe in this and in her.
