September 28, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. City Moms Blog Network announces the addition of Gainesville Moms Blog in Florida – the 75th site to join this national network of parenting resources websites. Gainesville Moms Blog goes live on September 28, 2017, under the leadership of Catie Carey.

Gainesville Moms Blog will provide valuable parenting resources and encouragement to moms in North Central Florida. No matter where a mom is on her journey of motherhood, she’ll find something uniquely her on Gainesville Moms Blog.

Catie Carey

“This platform gives moms a cohesive way to connect virtually, and this behavior naturally translates into ‘live’ relationships,” said Catie Carey, Gainesville Moms Blog owner. “I am offering a platform built on trust that allows us to share our trials and triumphs in motherhood, and foster connections between families and local businesses that are meaningful and beneficial.”

Carey is the most recent in a long list of moms signing on as site owners within the City Moms Blog Network, which now boasts 75 sites nationwide and millions of readers each month. At each site, a local mom, like Carey, sits at the helm and recruits more local moms to contribute content and offer expertise in all topics associated with motherhood. All City Moms Blog Network site owners are connected to a network of like-minded entrepreneurs running sites across the country. This community of moms, all dedicated to connecting moms in their own cities, work together to make sure each site is successful.

“As a long-time Gainesville resident, business owner and mom to two young boys and a third on the way, Catie Carey is the perfect person to host what will become the number one online parenting resource in Gainesville, Florida,” said Stephanie Flies, City Moms Blog Network founder and director. “Carey has the power of our network at her fingertips, which includes access to other site owners, event planning tips, and the ability to share original, national content with her followers. Gainesville will be better because of this!”

“As our community grows, we will be made stronger by our ability to really hit the pavement in our community offering events appropriate for moms, children, and their whole families,” said Carey. “We will offer diverse voices and a range of experiences to share.”

City Moms Blog Network began with Scottsdale Moms Blog in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010, where the unique community blogging approach caught on quickly and moms across the country asked to replicate the model in their communities. The 75 sites in the City Moms Blog Network sisterhood represent hundreds of moms as owners, thousands as contributors and millions as readers.
