February is Black History Month and as such, this episode’s conversation is centered around 3 moms’ individual experiences with raising Black kids in America in 2022.
Our hope is that this conversation helps open our audience’s hearts and minds to the differing experiences of moms navigating motherhood in all different parts of the country. These three ladies and their families ARE the Black history so we want to honor their stories and where they’ve come from.

Tiffany Harris, Houston Moms
Tiffany grew up in Canton, Ohio and spent her twenties in Indianapolis, Indiana. For the last eleven years she has called Houston home. She’s had some of her most transformative events happen here – her wedding and the birth of her twins. Over the years, even with children, she’s enjoyed her passion of travel having traveled to England, Japan, Oman, and Egypt as well states across the US. In her daily life, she is busy with her now five-year old twins {a boy and a girl} enjoying time with her husband and spending time with friends.
Tori Bishop, Gulf Coast Moms
Tori Bishop a Florida native, has lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1999, she is the wife of Keyun Bishop and mother to Daylan, 18, Mahogany, 11, Harper 9, and Kennedy 6. She is the co-owner of Gulf Coast Mom and also owns a event production company, Outlier Creative Productions.
Ashley Black, Houston Moms
Ashley KB was born in Long Beach, CA, but spent most of her childhood in Denver, CO. She was very athletic growing up, and she loved running track and playing volleyball. Ashley ventured to Oklahoma where she attended Langston University and transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma. Ashley graduated with an English degree from the UCO in 2011. Ashley was married to A.J. for six years… but it just didn’t work out. And that’s OK! They have three wild, precious, hilarious sons, Oliver {October 2012}, Maverick {August 2015} and Reeve {August 2017} who make life so incredibly meaningful. She also has a snuggly fur baby, Luna, and our newest little teddy bear, Poppy. In her free time, she can be found binge-watching The Office {for the millionth time}, listening to inappropriate podcasts, or oversharing on Instagram @theofficialbossmama
