Memphis Moms Blog: "Passion" MUM Award Winner for 2020
One month ago, our sister site owners from across the country gathered in Orlando, Florida for our annual Sister Site Conference. While we were together in person, we were thrilled to host the 2nd annual Mum Awards, celebrating the values of City Mom Collective and the sister sites who work tirelessly to represent these values in their local communities.
Today we are highlighting Memphis Moms Blog, who took home the PASSION award for 2020.
2020 Highlights for Memphis Moms Blog
- We have diversified our writing staff, so that our city is reflected in our contributors.
- We launched three new, successful events: A Date Night, an Easter Egg Hunt, and Swimming with Santa.
- Our site owner, Lori, had a baby!
A Word With The Sister Site Owners
“We’re passionate about our city and reaching ALL moms there. We feature a nonprofit every month and a mom of the month. We also offer free playdates over the summer and try to incorporate lots of neighborhoods in our city. Our favorite event every year is our Single Mom Spa and Shop. This charity event is free to all the moms. We offer free childcare, the moms get an afternoon of pampering (hair, nails, and makeup tutorials), plus the moms get to “shop” for toys for their kids for Christmas that have been donated by the local community. Finally, we offer a monthly Sunshine Box. People can nominate a family that is going through a rough patch, and they will get a box full of fun things.”
