At this moment, my family is zigzagging across America on an RV adventure.

Mama. Husband. Two kids. One dog.

And perhaps my most treasured piece of camping equipment: my flask. 😉

Kidding. Not kidding.

Tru Flask

My Everyday Explorer Tumbler hauls a whopping 40 ounces of whatever I choose to fill it with. Steaming hot coffee in the morning – fuel enough for both my husband and me. Ice-cold water that stays arctic all day long. And in the evenings? Well, I’ve never tried 40 ounces of pinot grigio, but maybe that’ll be another story for another day.

It’s double-walled to keep my beverages at steady temps. And it’s stainless steel, so I don’t worry about chemicals leeching into my drinks or it shattering if I drop it.

When I first got this bad boy, my son said, “That cup is GINORMOUS! I want one!” It takes a lot to impress an 11-year-old, but this tumbler managed to do it. My Tru Flask happens to be pink for the sole purpose of keeping my boys from permanently absconding with it. Ten other colors are available, if you’re braver than I.

My three favorite things? Unlike other big cups, this behemoth fits in any standard cup holder. It has a sturdy handle, so the cup doesn’t slip out of my hand when I pick it up. And the wide mouth has a flip-closing lid that makes it virtually spill proof.

In other words, it’s perfect for outdoor adventures. And bonus: It keeps countless disposable plastic bottles out of landfills.

We all carry our hydration differently. So, if a 40-ounce tumbler isn’t your thing, Tru Flask has other equally great options, including a smaller tumbler, bottles ranging from 18 ounces to 64 ounces and lots of cool accessories.

Adventure Club

Want to help foster a love of the outdoors in youth? Yeah… me, too!

And by supporting this company, I’m doing just that. They started the Tru Flask Adventure Club to work with schools and non-profits to facilitate outdoor activities and events for kids—especially kids in underserved and overlooked communities.

Throughout the year, they host outdoor events and activities for kids, exposing them to a fun and safe outdoor environment. The idea is that these adventures in nature will positively impact their lives for years to come. Adventure groups may increase academic performance, improve health and more.

So, if you’re a teacher, social worker, or school administrator whose students could benefit from an outdoor adventure club or interested in leading adventures? Fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Getting Outside

I like this company because Tru Flask believes everyone should experience nature. They have a saying, “Living is more than working and spending.”

Personally, I don’t believe in making a long bucket list of things to accomplish when I have six months left to live. My family is trying to make it to every national park before our kids leave the nest.

Get to work on your list now, friends.

Head outdoors. Check out your state parks and our stunning national parks. Cook out with friends. Jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Climb a 14er. Use every single one of your vacation days. Don’t wait until someday. Today is someday. Need some inspiration? Check out City Mom Collective’s fabulous Ultimate Family Guide to Travel.

Carpe diem!

You asked, they answered! Tru Flask can now do color printing in-house, directly on your stainless steel reusable bottles. Promote your business, or event, reward employees with an incredible gift they’ll want to use, or support the local high school team. No matter the need, their custom logo solution has you covered. #staytruflask
